Completely self-produced, engineered, recorded, and mixed in the span of a month during rehearsals for their first tour, Our Lady Eve, O! How She Shines takes everything psychedelic jazz-folk outfit Wind-Up Birds learned during the extensive process of producing their second record and streamlines it. This is their tightest, most focused, and most efficient work, and a welcome change of pace for a band of full-time students with a never-ending supply of wild ideas and frustratingly little free time. The birds have woven a timeless tale of gender, capitalism, despair, love, confusion, hope, and joy that they hope resonates with both their most frequent listeners and a new, wider audience.
